Process technologist (m/f/d)

Careers

The profession

Are you interested in mechanics, do you have manual skills and are you enthusiastic about modern technology? Then an apprenticeship to become a process technologist will fit the bill! Process technologists must be able to recognise damage in the plant in order to document it and pass it on to the repair department so that a smooth production process is ensured. They will learn to drive, monitor and adapt the plant to changing conditions. Process technologists carry out inspection rounds, take samples and carry out cleaning work while the vehicle is in motion or at a standstill. They must be able to drive and operate industrial trucks such as bucket loaders, small excavators, forklifts and cranes. Process technologists are trained in metallurgy in order to be able to adapt the products to customer requirements by means of alloying.

The vocational school location is Hamburg with block teaching. The apprenticeship to become a process technician takes 3.5 years. The apprenticeship period can be shortened to three years if you perform particularly well. If you are also motivated after the apprenticeship and successfully complete it, we will foster and support you in your future career. During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a gross apprenticeship salary of around EUR 1,100.

We expect you to have good grades in physics, mathematics and technology with a Realschule certificate or a very good Hauptschule certificate. Interest and fun in dealing with the latest technology is a prerequisite, as well as an understanding of technical and theoretical relationships.
