Careers

The Profession

Our dual study program in electrical engineering combines the strengths of a degree program at the established Jade University with the advantages of an apprenticeship at a globally leading raw materials company. In eight semesters, you will learn the basics of electrical engineering as well as specific knowledge in theory and practice. The in-company training takes place at Glencore Nordenham. You will gain a broad and holistic view of technical and design product development, taking into account economic, social and ecological aspects. As part of the team, you will take on corresponding project tasks, depending on the progress of your studies. You are thus active in a responsible environment of the company and gain insights into project work, work processes and processing of engineering tasks. Qualified mentors are always at your side.

Requirements

We expect the completion of the general university entrance qualification with good performance in the subjects mathematics, German, English and physics. A great willingness to learn and independent work are among your strengths. In addition, you score points for logical-analytical thinking, interest in international cooperation and technical understanding. The ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and flexibility round off your profile.
